If temperatures reach approximately 267°F, the suppression tube opens at the hottest point and releases FK-5-1-12 clean extinguishing agent directly onto the source of the fire. This gives fast suppression at the point of origin without leaving powder residue all over your engine bay, equipment, or electronics.
Unlike traditional extinguishers, the clean agent is non-conductive, non-corrosive, and safe for electronics and electrical systems. The system also cannot slowly leak down or lose pressure like a conventional fire extinguisher.
