Love this shop! They are always friendly, helpful, timely, and upfront with expected costs. I have owned my bug for almost 20 years and they are one of 5 places in 3 different states I've trusted to complete work I don't have time these days to do myself. As soon as I ship my bus here they will have their hands on that as well. Nice bonus not having to drive to Phoenix!
Art helped me locate records for my 1979 Super EFI. I’m the 2nd owner and the previous owner had her work done at Doug’s!!!
Today I needed parts to do a clutch cable replacement on my 67 Beetle. I had never done it before, and although they were booked up 'til May, the gentleman on the phone talked me through the process where I was having trouble, and recommended all the right parts I needed for replacement. I used every part, because they were honestly all necessary, and they were all a good deal. Then, when he did not have a part I needed, he was able to get it sent to his shop later in the afternoon for me. I would absolutely recommend this shop and their services for anyone working on their old VW!
These guys are top notch. They rebuilt my engine and transmission as well as addressed my brakes and suspension. Overhauled the drivetrain completely really. They’ve been honest, upfront and responsive through the entire process. I trust their shop, the techs and their knowledge about all things Volkswagen and you should too. Best knowledge and practitioners in the valley for air cooled vdubs. Can't imagine going anywhere else for repair and restoration. Have been a customer for over 25 years and wouldn't look anywhere else!A year later, hooked up and ready to take the thing in to get electrical gremlins squashed after getting the body work done.
A lil over priced sometimes but you don't have to wait for the stuff you need in the mail

Fish and Rebecca are amazing. Words cannot express how pleased I am with the work that they did with my bus. They found him in Iowa for me and worked on him, inside and out. Customized him the way that I wanted him, and they made sure that he was running smoothly. I have driven him across the country and haven't had any issues. Everyone says what great condition he is in and the mechanic I have now also said he is in excellent condition. I can't thank their team enough.
